Trade delegation was organised by MEPEX between 21-24 May 2024 to Erbil/Iraq in order to increase and develop exports in the Construction Materials Sector. Within the scope of the programme, B2B meetings were held to increase the experience of the delegation participants regarding the market and to increase efficiency. 

In addition, after the B2B events, Erbil Build Expo 2024 Fair was visited and our companies were provided to create commercial opportunities in their own fields. Our delegation participant company representatives held meetings with their current customers and potential buyers in the market. In addition, more than 100 officials from 48 Iraqi companies participated in the bilateral business meetings and a total of 87 bilateral business meetings were held during the day-long event. 

During the delegation, meetings were also held with the delegation headed by Mr. Geylan Haji Sait, President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Rasul Haji Omer, President of Erbil Importers and Exporters Association and the accompanying delegation. Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Erbil Mr. Erman TOPÇU, Commercial Attaches Mr. Kerem TUZLU and Mr. Kemal BAHADIR made presentations to our companies on trade relations with Iraq before B2B meetings. Osman Serdar BÜYÜKBEKTAŞ, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of MEPEX and Fatih YUMUŞ, PhD Deputy Secretary General of Central Anatolian Exporters’ Association accompanied our delegation in all these meetings and visits. It was stated by the participating companies that the delegation was productive and that it was a delegation that would have positive results.
